Mehrtam Company was funded through the collaboration of several Ph.D. and M.Sc. graduates from the University of Tehran.
Currently, the main focus of the company is the recycling of multilayer packaging materials known as Tetra Pak and their conversion into value-added products such as long-fiber paper pulp and Poly-AI Roof Tiles.

the country are capable of handling such materials, our innovative technology

Given the multilayer structure of Tetra Pak packaging and the complexity of its recycling process, an advanced method has been developed to ensure both environmental protection and high product quality.
Instead of allowing this waste to enter the environment and cause harm, our process efficiently separates the paper fibers, polyethylene, and aluminum layers, ensuring that each valuable component is fully recovered. These materials are then transformed through several stages into new, high-value products.
High Quality Products
From recycling Tetra Pak packaging, Mehrtam Company produces two main products — long-fiber paper pulp and poly-al sheets.
The long-fiber pulp is a premium raw material used in the paper and packaging industries, known for its strength, durability, and quality.
Meanwhile, poly-al sheets made from the aluminum and polyethylene layers are transformed into durable, waterproof roofing materials.By combining innovation with sustainability, we turn waste into high-value, eco-friendly products that support both industry and the environment.

Poly-Al Roof Tile 220
This product is available in the standard dimensions of 110 × 220 cm with a thickness of 8 mm.
Its key features include flexibility, durability, and reusability, making it a sustainable and long-lasting material for various applications
Poly-Al Roof Tile 200
This product is available in the standard dimensions of 110 × 200 cm with a thickness of 8 mm.
It offers excellent flexibility, durability, and reusability, making it a practical and sustainable choice for various industrial and construction applications.
Paper Pulp
The brown long-fiber paper pulp produced from recycled Tetra Pak packaging is used in the paper manufacturing industry to enhance the strength and quality of paper products.
Flat Poly-Al Sheet
The flat poly-al sheet is produced in dimensions of 120 × 220 cm with a thickness ranging from 8 to 10 mm.
It can be easily cut into smaller sizes and is suitable for use in insulation, partitioning, and various indoor and outdoor applications.

Mehrtam Company is a pioneering Iranian startup dedicated to the recycling of multilayer Tetra Pak packaging and the production of sustainable materials such as long-fiber paper pulp and poly-al sheets.
Founded in 2018 at the University of Tehran’s Science and Technology Park, Mehrtam began its journey with a vision to turn environmental challenges into opportunities. Through continuous innovation and research, the company successfully developed Iran’s first Tetra Pak recycling system, capable of transforming waste into high-value, eco-friendly products.
